We Thought We Lost It
October 2007, Ryan, Frankie and I sent my sister Ging-ging a birthday gift. It was a make up kit that I got somewhere for her and in the package I also included shirts for my brothers and Papa and also a couple of outfits for Dad-dan. I mailed it through USPS and I paid $39.90 for it. December came I kept asking Ging-ging if they got it and they still didn’t get it. I was beginning to lose hope that maybe someone stole it. About two days ago someone rang the doorbell. I thought it was another of Ryan’s brochures so I didn’t go out to answerer the door. When he left Frankie and I went out to play. When he was pushing his toys towards the front of the house I happened to look at the front door and to my surprise it was the package that I sent my sister all beat up and it was returned to sender. My initial reaction was huh? How can this be return to sender since they never bothered to send the notice to our house. And in the box you can see the dates that the notices were sent. The postman and the head of the post office knows my family so does this mean that the postman hasn’t been doing his job in delivering the mails?
Well I guess we should be happy that nobody stole it but I paid for that amount to send it. I choose not to open it so that when we send the big box at least there is still an element of surprise when Ging-ging opens it.
