Learning Moments
Frankie and I were in the living room reading one of the books that his Lola gave him. He was flipping the pages every time I finish reading. There wasn’t really so much to read but it is more of graphics and pictures. The book was about a bunch of kids playing on a beach. Every time I see something new and different in the picture, I always point it to Frankie and tell him what it is. Like the “dog”, “ball” and little things that I can find. I pointed it to Frankie one time and he already know where the dog and the ball are. What is even wonderful is he can even say it. He say what the name is and point it at the same time.
That night Ryan came home late from work. He then had dinner and joined us in the living room. I eagerly asked Frankie to get his book and show Dada where is the dog and the ball. He went ahead and got his book from his room and set it right next to Ryan. He was looking for the dog while saying it at the same time but he couldn’t find it but later he started pointing on something in the book calling it dog. When Ryan checked it was a little girl holding her tiny puppy. Ryan laughed so hard. He said to Frankie that it wasn’t a dog but a puppy. I told him to give him a break. It is so smart of him to recognize the puppy even if it was so tiny and besides they look a like anyway. More to come…
