I was in high school when our neighbor’s house was caught on fire and the two storey house was gone in less than an hour. Luckily the kids that were inside managed to escape before the fire got to the entire house. I heard it was due to faulty electrical wiring. Also about a year ago the same thing happened to our next door neighbor. They left a very old drier on while they went out shopping and when they came home their utility room was already on fire. Fortunately they were able to save some of their belongings but of course it has to be thoroughly cleaned because of the smell. My point is it can happen to anybody and at any time that is why I am glad that there is a way to actually fireproof your house during construction.
