It’s Been A Month

I was looking through Papa’s pictures when he departed the Philippines and I can’t believe that he has been here for a month. It surely does feel like he has been here longer than that. He seems to adopt and fit in very well. Ryan on the other hand feels like he has just been here for a short time. It is because he doesn’t spend time with him as much as Frankie and I do. I kept teasing Papa that we need to break the record that my Uncle had when he went to Ohio. He was only here for only a month and 12 days because he kept getting sick and kept going back and forth to the doctor that he left just enough for him to get his green card. My Uncle was a little old (70+) when he came and he arrived here during the peak of winter. He doesn’t know how to drive and misses his roosters back home. He was so lonely here and sad that my cousin decided to send him back home. He was so happy to be back in the Philippines again. Papa always smiles whenever I tell him that we haven’t beat his record yet but I am sure he will. He is so happy that it snowed last night and we have about 5 inches of snow in the driveway. He will be out there later shoveling again. He can’t wait for Frankie and I to take a nap so that he can go outside.
