Her birthday cake from Dan-dan and Frankie

After almost a year of asking them where the birthday pictures of Nanay (mama’s mama), Resty finally scanned it for me. I thought I will cry but I was surprised to myself. Although I was a little emotional but I was actually happy viewing the photos because I know she is happy with where she is at and is watching over us. Every birthday I send a little amount to mama so that they can have a little something for her. All her children gather together but last year was different. I don’t know what has gotten into me but I wanted invite a lot of people for her birthday. In short, I wanted it to be very special. They invited not only the immediate family but as well as her friends. Mama said she was so happy that was why I was dying to see the pictures. I didn’t have that much money to send but I saved and saved just to make that day very special for her. I am so thankful and glad that I did because I realized later on that it was going to be her last birthday.

On her last birthday she was surrounded by a lot of people that loved her dearly and I wish I was there and I wished she was able to see Frankie in person before she passed away. I was just so happy that my family carried out my wishes for her such as getting her cake with Dan-dan and Frankie’s name in it among other things. I am not sad anymore because I know we will see each other again soon.
