Turned Down
I have recently signed up to become a member of this certain association for merchandisers which Ryan is also a member. I didn’t think of signing up till 2 days ago. They actually have so many jobs here in Illinois for both full time and part time. Unfortunately majority of them are in the northern suburbs and although most of them pay for mileage, I don’t think I can drive that far. I opened my email the second day when I saw a couple of job openings in Chicago and its surrounded cities and also one in Hazel Crest which is very close to our house. I applied for both of them and within a few minutes I got a reply from the one in Chicago.
They seem to be in need of help for the reset. The pay was really good too. We were emailing back and forth and I told her how interested I was. She wanted to send me the papers right away for hiring. Before she can even do that, I asked her the locations of the different places that the reset will be done. I got it this morning and since I am not that familiar with the places listed I forwarded it to Ryan and have him decide if it will be ok. He emailed me back and told me that the places she listed is in the bad and dangerous part of Chicago. Without second thought I emailed her back and told her upfront about my reason. She emailed me back wondering if I would still be interested in another reset for another store. Ryan told me to ask her what is the location before I can commit. It could have been a job already for me but my husband knows best.
