Switching Parishes
Last weekend was the first weekend that we started going to St. Laborious. In two years our Frankie will be going to school and we want to be ready for it. Ryan and I were originally going to put him at St. Mary’s School but Marilyn one of the guest that Papa and Frankie had during their birthday party said that she thinks they are closing soon. Her grandson that lives with her also goes to that school that is why she knew. It is really sad because Ryan and I were hoping they will remain open. I don’t blame them because you can never run a school with only a few students. So our other option is to send him to St. Laborious. It also means switching parishes.
St. Mary’s Church is where Ryan and I got married. We stayed with them until we moved to our house. When we settled down, we have St. Irenaeus nearby where Frankie was also baptized. I wish they had a school too but theirs close for quiet sometimes now. So our last option is St. Laborious. It is a little far than the other two churches but not bad. The only thing is St. Irenaeus has a family room where I can take Frankie and he can draw and play with other kids while still listening to the mass while in St. Laborious there was none. That was why it was only Ryan and I who went to church then the next day Sunday, I drove Papa and picked him up from church (St. Irenaeus. I was so pleased when I realized that St. Laborious’ parish priest is also a Filipino. Hope to go there every weekend.
