Soon To Be A Kuya

My brother and big Kuya Dan-dan

Next week is the expected week that Cheryl will have our little nephew. I can't believe how everything went by so quickly. I remember when I posted in my bravejournal blog a picture of little Dan-dan and now he is not too little anymore. Like Frankie he is learning how to talk and to write. It fascinates me to see his photos at myspace and when Frankie and him talk over skype. They seem to have their own language that only Frankie and Dan-dan understand. It is so funny to listen. Next week too, they are going to have another nanny. Yes, there will be one nanny for each of the kids. I know it will be an added expense for my brother and sister-in-law but they really need the help they can get. Cheryl will be off for 2 months and by the time she goes back teaching then they need someone to watch the kids while they are away. It must be rough because they have to take care of the kids when they are both home after school. Well, that is one of the responsibilities of being a parent. It is a lot of hard work but soooooo worth it.

Enjoy Movies At Home

When Papa was in the Philippines, he always makes it a point to watch a movie once every two weeks. He sometimes goes with my Mama or by himself. That is the only vice he has. When he got here in the US, we haven’t taken him to watch a movie. There is really nothing worth watching lately but when his favorite movie comes on during the summer, I will definitely take him to watch a movie. Fortunately, Ryan has so much collection of DVDs here and that is what kept him busy especially around noon when Frankie and I are talking our nap. I wish we have another spare room. It would have been nice to let him watch the movies there complete with home theater chairs to make it more realistic and to give him that movie like feeling even if he is just at home. Maybe in our next house.

Best Mom

There are a lot of things that I didn't understand with how my parents handled us until I became a mother myself. I had a wonderful life growing up surrounded by love and that is exactly what I intend to show Frankie. Ryan and I were not complete without him and he has filled the emptiness we felt inside. Yes, we love each other so much but something was missing until he came. One of the best thing a mom can ever have is when you are complimented for being the best mom. It might be something simple to some but surely something spectacular to a mom like me and I would like to thank Recel for the recognition.

Now for the rule, here it is:
1. Show the award logo in your post.
2. Pick a picture you have with your kiddo(s).
3. Post should include your best experience as a Mom.
4. Nominate other blogger mom's out there that you consider the best mom, like yourself.

So what is my best experience as a mom? I can't pick one particular experience because everyday that I see my son and being with him is best enough. Though I had a rough pregnancy and delivery but those were all nothing because I did it for my son and would love to do it again. I always feel so happy and proud of him. With all his little achievements and how bubbly and friendly he is, just being with him good enough for me.

I would like to tag all the moms out there.

My Interview

What has gotten into me? That is what I kept asking myself. You see I am the type of person where you can't just say no. When I was working at Target, there was a position that opened up. A lot of people that I talked to had discouraged me to apply for the position because the ones that worked there wasn't able to handle it and either they requested to have themselves demoted or they quit. I thought of myself, "Is that really that hard?" but I have always been the person who wanted to prove them wrong so I went for it. I got the job and the people that worked for me loved me being there because we all worked. I turned it around and management were so pleased with my performance. Less than 6 months in the position, I saw another chance to be promoted again. Without hesitation, I applied for it. I was sent to a panel interview (as if I was going for NASA) and later I got the spot. My team members that worked for me were all sad but I kept telling them that I will still see them since I will be the immediate supervisor of whoever will replace me and they will still be working for me. It was fun and I actually missed it.

Anyways, after staying home for over 2 years I think my confidence has deteriorated big time. I am no longer that go getter that I used to be. About 3 weeks ago I jokingly asked my supervisor if there is a full time position available because I am looking for a full time job now. He immediately told me that they are actually hiring for area supervisor. I read the description and I wasn't really into the position. I called Ryan at home and told him first hand that I won't apply for it. He's initial reaction was, "can you please stop being not confident". I just laughed at his comment. I already told myself that I can't do it after reading all the responsibilities. I am very qualified though but just the thought of having to change what I have been doing scared me so much. After being convinced by my team and Ryan, I was actually thinking of going for it but was still a little apprehensive. It was Papa who finally said something that changed my mind. He said:

"Manang if there is an opportunity go for it. Stop putting yourself down. Let them be the one to say no, not you." and he was right. He then told me the opportunities that he didn't let slip away while he was younger. He didn't want to regret anything he said.

So today I went for the interview. I was so surprised that I wasn't nervous at all (I usually am during interviews). There were 39 of us who applied for the position. I don't know why I wasn't nervous, probably because I wasn't dying to get this job. It is different when you wanted to have the job so much that it gives so much pressure on you. I went in there and did by best. My resume was so detailed that they have to think of something to ask. Papa and Frankie came with me for moral support but instead of 2:00 p.m., I wasn't interviewed until 3:00 p.m. because they were running behind. I think I did good but then again they still have the last say. One part of it that liked is training. I will be training new associates. If I get the job then I will be very thankful and if not, therefore it wasn't meant for me. The salary is really really good though. I still have other options but I learned to take my time. Ryan is not pressuring me but it is me who wants to get a full time job right away. I am just afraid that I might not be able to take a vacation (to Pinas) next March if I haven't work there for a year. That is my only fear but I figure, if we can't make it on her graduation, we will make it in the same year somehow. The support of the people around here are so overwhelming. Below is Ryan's email that he sent before I went for the interview.

Hi Sweety, God Bless on the interview, I know you will do great. I will see you when I get home. Love u, Baby

Programmer Jobs

I was as devastated as my sister’s boyfriend when I realized that he got lay off from his data entry job. I know how hard it is to look for a job these days and the competition that is out there. I am glad that he is looking at the bright side of this situation because he decided to take a refresher course in programming and hopefully find programmer jobs. He is a computer science graduate and hopefully this refresher course will help him out in his future job hunt. I remember how happy he was when he got this job but with the economy getting bad, he was one of those who got affected. Hopefully he will find something that is related to his degree very soon.

Roommates

Papa and Frankie are room mates for now until Saturday when we move some stuff in our bedroom to clear up the second bedroom. The past few days that they are room mates, I really felt sorry for Papa because every time Frankie cries he gets up and carries him around until he falls back to sleep. We have the doors open so that I can hear him cry but he usually shuts it when Ryan and I are asleep. He didn't want to wake us up or bother us that is why the next day he looks so tired. Papa kept telling me that he is fine as he always get up overnight anyway but I still insist that he should have his own room. It is extra challenging with Frankie because this is the first time that he has not been sleeping with either Ryan or I.

When we are home, we take care of Frankie. Papa might be living with us but we don't want to take advantage of him. We still are the ones taking care of Frankie. Although with cooking he volunteered himself with it. That is why he needs to have a separate bedroom for his rest and Ryan also said so that he will have his privacy.

Left: Papa's bed and right: Frankie's bed.

Frankie sheets are so grown-up already. His Dada picked it up for him. Once we get the other bed out of there, we will move all his toys in his room and open up the gate in the hallway. So that he will have access to his room any time. We just need to put up the hock and eye in the cabinet so he won't open it. He has all his lotions there and he likes playing with it. This weekend we also need to get drapes for Frankie's room. We threw out the blinds for that room. We bought another one but it iss white and Ryan didn't want to put it up. So we'll see if we can find something nice this weekend.

I Learned My Lesson

I have mentioned before how sad I was when I lost all of Frankie’s baby photos with our old computer. It was like losing a part of me but what else can I do. I just need to be really careful that it won't happen again. Most of Frankie's recent photos are in my laptop right now and when it started acting up last week I got scared. Good thing it wasn’t something major. I also think that my hard drive is getting full so I may have to get an external hard drive where I can store my important files and never have to worry about it again. It is also easy to use because all you have to do is plug it to a USB port of your computer or laptop then transfer your files. Looking for a good deal on an external hard drive is what I should do next.

Frankie Moment

Ryan loves annoying Frankie. He likes tickling him until he laughs so hard then cry. Not just him but he does that to me too. I don't even know how many times I have cried because he won't stop tickling me. I can't do anything about it because he is not ticklish. Anyways, in this picture above, I asked him to get Frankie because he was getting up from nap. He was a little crabby but instead of getting him, he took a picture of Frankie. I don't know if he was trying to say hi to his Dada or he is trying to tell his dada talk to the hand. He getting so big, that's for sure.

Ryan Might Need One

Ryan looked so cute earlier while wearing his old pair of eyeglasses that he got over 3 years ago. He was showing it to Frankie and he was so fascinated staring at his Dada with eyeglasses on. He actually wore it for a little bit and decided not to wear it anymore. I didn’t ask him why though. Deep within me I am actually glad that he didn’t because I can’t imagine how much it is going to cost us if we both need to wear eyeglasses. Now I was a little concern when I saw it again because it means he might need to have his eyes checked because it has been 3 years since he last went. I hate going to those eyeglass places because I feel like they are robbing me with how expensive their eyeglasses are. It is so hard seeing straight without breaking bank but I can always tell my husband to get his new prescription there that only costs us $25.00 and order his new pair online through Zenni Optical. You will never go wrong with their prescription eyeglasses for only $8! What a deal. Zenni Optical in the New York Times?! And I will tell Ryan about it so that he can also read about them. Sometimes a deal like this is so hard to pass up.

Nanay's Birthday Photos

Her birthday cake from Dan-dan and Frankie

After almost a year of asking them where the birthday pictures of Nanay (mama's mama), Resty finally scanned it for me. I thought I will cry but I was surprised to myself. Although I was a little emotional but I was actually happy viewing the photos because I know she is happy with where she is at and is watching over us. Every birthday I send a little amount to mama so that they can have a little something for her. All her children gather together but last year was different. I don't know what has gotten into me but I wanted invite a lot of people for her birthday. In short, I wanted it to be very special. They invited not only the immediate family but as well as her friends. Mama said she was so happy that was why I was dying to see the pictures. I didn't have that much money to send but I saved and saved just to make that day very special for her. I am so thankful and glad that I did because I realized later on that it was going to be her last birthday.

On her last birthday she was surrounded by a lot of people that loved her dearly and I wish I was there and I wished she was able to see Frankie in person before she passed away. I was just so happy that my family carried out my wishes for her such as getting her cake with Dan-dan and Frankie's name in it among other things. I am not sad anymore because I know we will see each other again soon.

Getting ready to blow her candles.

My parents with our Nanay. She is missed.

I am sure everyone is very excited for spring/summer. It is the time of the year when we can finally enjoy the outdoor and most especially the beach during summer. Phones

These are the phones that we are using right now. We ditched our phone service last December and we have been using it since. I really liked it and we have been really good with the minutes also. Ryan bought the one year service for both of our phones while we have the every 3 months phone card for Papa since he doesn't use his as much as Ryan and I do. We also make sure that he has his phone when Ryan and I are out in case something happens so that he can immediately get a hold of us. In the beginning I was having a hard time determining which is mine, Ryan and Papa's phone. When I turn on the phone I know which is which because mine has a picture of Papa and Frankie, Ryan has the mountains as the screen saver as well as Papa. Recently we have made it a point not to put them in one place because I have taken Ryan's phone for so many times. Mine is always in my purse, Papa in his room and Ryan in the drawer by his wallet and wedding ring. That way we won't get confused.

Save Up On Your Next Pair

I like surfing the internet for the latest news. I hardly watch the TV anymore. I am on the internet most of the time that is why I feel it very convenient to just read it. In fact, I read Zenni Optical in the New York Times?! They so deserved the recognition though. They have helped a lot of people get prescription eyeglasses for only $8! All you need to have is your current prescription ready and you will have your eyeglasses in no time. I still remember how they helped a mother of two get spare glasses for her kids at the fraction of the cost. Gone are the days when you have to spend so much for a pair of eyeglasses because now you can start seeing straight without breaking bank.

This is my favorite pair of glasses below. It will be perfect for spring/summer soon.

Playing With The Snow

I have been wanting to take Frankie outside every time it snows. I want him to be able to enjoy the snow. Well finally last week I took him out. While Papa was cleaning the outside of my car, he is also playing with snow. It didn't last that long because he was more interested with what the grown ups were doing. He also wanted to clean the car and kept playing with the water. I have to say I am so glad that the snow are all gone and I hope I don't have to see them again till next winter but I know I am getting so ahead of myself. He shoveled the snow for a little bit but later ended up playing with his toy. He looked like a football player with his coat. Finally he was able to play with the snow even if for only less than 5 minutes.

Always On A Look Out

I can’t believe that I have been driving here in the US for nearly 6 years. It seems like yesterday that Dad was trying to teach me for the first time how to maneuver the car and I was shaking and was nervous even if we were just driving out in the country with less traffic. I have never driven any car prior to that but I kept telling myself that if others can do it then I can do it too. I have always been determined to learn and I usually don’t give up if it is something that I really wanted. Driving comes with so much responsibility to me, my passengers and to other people. That is why I am always on a look out for emergency lights passing by (from ambulances or police) so I can stop for them to go through. Ambulances always bring critical patients and I don’t want to be on their way. As long as I am driving, I will always have that responsibility on my shoulders.

2.07.2009

Playing In The Puddle

We went out today and Frankie was so happy and excited. I wanted to put together the grill but Ryan said we may have to wait because this warm-up is not going to stay around. Papa was so happy with the warm up too that he went out without even wearing any light jacket. Anyways, as we were all outside enjoying the breeze Frankie saw a puddle right next to the van. In the beginning he grabbed one of the toys and tried dipping it in the puddle. I didn't grab him because I know how it fascinates him but instead I kept an eye on him. I was once a kid so I know how interesting it is to have something like that. Besides he was so tiny last year to even know or remember. Anyways, the 3 adults were all talking when I noticed Frankie jumping up and down inside the puddle. It wasn't even a minute and mind you, the water inside the puddle was pitch black. It was from the snow melting all around it. Yes, he's socks were all black as well as his tennis shoes who happened to be also white. He was so happy. When we saw him instead of getting mad we just let him be. Papa was laughing so hard. He didn't have any mud on his face though but he has some almost to his knees. The splashing of the water really made him so happy. I wish I had the camera handy because it could have been a cute Frankie moment. Papa took his shoes and his socks while I took him side and gave him a bath.

So Long Pictures

I have been away from my family for 6 years now. In fact, they have not seen Frankie yet in person. The only way they have seen him is through the webcam, when I post pictures in my blog or when I send them pictures through mail. Since Frankie was born I have tried to take pictures of him as much as possible both for us and for my family back home. I have saved it in our desktop and kept promising myself to transfer it in the desk until I lost it forever. You see, I didn’t know that our desktop’s virus protection expired on us. I know we should have known better right? But it slipped our minds. I was surfing the internet for free templates for my blog when all of the sudden my computer froze. I restarted it again and to my dismay I saw windows after windows opening right in front of my face. It was advertisement after advertisement and telling me to click them because I had a virus. It was too late for that I think. I was frantic and all I can think about is how am I going to save all of Frankie’s pictures. I should have transferred it and I should have known better. It was something very important to just let it slipped away.

It is something that I can never take back and it is also something that I blame myself. Now I realized how important Online Backups are. If your life, your business depends on the files and the information that you have in your computer then get an online backup before it is too late.

The Make Over

The make-over went well. Papa and Frankie decided to come with me. I was expecting to finish in 30 minutes but it was actually more than that. The lady that helped me was very careful and tried so many things to get the perfect color for me. Every once in a while the place that I am working offers a beauty event. So this time I signed up myself because I have been wanting to learned the right way to put make-up. Yes, I am one of those who never learned and never bothered to learn. I was motivated to go because Ryan told me that the make-up that I will be getting will be his Valentines Day gift for me. The price was a little ouchy after getting everything. I didn't wipe off my face because I wanted him to see it and when he came home, he gave me a kiss and said it looked so nice on me. I also showed him that make up that I got. BTW, we decided to move our bowling date next week. It is just so beautiful outside that we are going outside instead. Papa has been telling me that he wants to vacuum my car and the van and today he can finally do that.

Frankie and I also picked up something for Valentines Day for Dada. I hope he will like it but it is something that he really really needs. He already have a hint of what it is but I am not telling him nothing until next week. So today will be spent outside. It is so beautiful outside and I hope it stays like this all the time which I am sure it will not. I can't wait for spring and summer, that's for sure.

Safe And Fun Games To Play

Choose the book that you read and the games that you play. That is what I kept reminding my students before. They are young and sometimes don’t know what is the right game to play most especially online. During our history class I let them play but the games are usually related to what we have discussed or what we are about to discuss. Had I known about the MEGA Brands Kids Zone then, I am sure my students will love playing the Legends of King Arthur and Treasure of the Lord Pyrate. With the Legend of King Arthur, you need to find the shield hidden to finish the quest. What I like about this game it is help kids explore different options and use their imagination to find the shield just like a real brave knight. They can experience attacking the battle action castle that enables them to aim and shoot. Battle Action Bridge is one of my favorites and I actually found Sir Lancelot’s shield in there.

So if you are looking for a fun, free and a safe place for your little ones to play then I recommend to you MEGA Brands Kids Zone. You will be blown away by how realistic and awesome the graphics is. I will surely let Frankie try it when he is ready. Don’t take my word for it, try it for yourself.

Ready When He Is

I am so happy to find such a good deal at Target when the three of us went there last Monday. It is a helmet that comes with elbow and knee pads for kids that are learning how to bike or skate. It was only $4.00 so without hesitation I grabbed it right away. Good thing my paypal is not empty yet so I got to pay for it myself. Frankie is still too little for it but it will be ready for him when he is. All we have to check now is getting him a small bike for his birthday that he can ride this summer. His Dada might not approve of it yet but I think he deserves to have one. So since Dada got the grill for me then I may have to buy Frankie the bike.

It was always fun learning how to ride the bike. I was 7 years old when my brothers taught me how to use one and I have so much scratches from crushing myself in the bushes. It didn't stop me from trying to learn though. I still went ahead and tried until I learned how. I have been biking then. I used it all the time to take me from our old house to the new house when I was younger. I also went places with my brothers with it. I love my childhood and sometimes I wish I can turn back time. It was so much fun.

LED Light

It seems like more and more people are more aware now with using led lights. I have seen a lot of my friend’s houses during the holiday that used LED Christmas lights as a decoration inside and even outside of their houses. What I like about LED is they are cool to the touch and can surely save in your electric bill. In fact, Ryan bought some last year that we can use for the next holiday. I thought LED light is only available with Christmas lights but I am wrong. At Greenandmore.com they have a selection of led light products such as LED flashlights, outdoor LED garden lights and more. One great advantage of using LED is they last for a long time. In this tough economic time, it is nice to know that you can save by simply using LED lights.

Frankie Was In Trouble

After picking up Papa from the Social Security Office we head to a mall nearby to see where we can have some lunch. It has been a while since we have been to this mall and this was Papa's first time so I decided to take them in. We didn't bring the stroller so Frankie was so happy walking without any of us holding him. We went to the mall's play area and when we got there, there were a few kids there already. I told Papa he can stroll around the mall while I watch Frankie and if we are ready to leave, I will just call or text him in his cellphone. Frankie happily was playing with the slides. About 20 minutes after another family came in with their 5 year old son and an 9 month old daughter who was just learning how to stand. Frankie went by the baby girl who look so fascinated with her but later left her to play with something else.

Frankie has always been a good boy with other kids. There were some kids who would push him before and he just gets up and walk away. He is very friendly too. While he was playing he saw the siblings playing with another toy that was attached to the wall that Frankie didn't notice before when we got there. He was so excited when he saw it that he ran to them and pushed the baby girl that was standing right next to her brother and started playing. The baby sat on the floor and started crying. Frankie stopped what he was doing and I then grabbed him and told him not to push the little baby or whoever. I sat right next to the baby girl and Frankie sat on my lap. I told him it is not nice to push someone and that they need to share. Frankie looked like he was about to cry. I didn't yell at him though. The little baby managed to get up again and started playing and I allowed Frankie to stood up right next to the little girl to play. I told him to "share" that instead of taking so much space he was just in the little corner playing. I apologized to her parents and I am glad they were ok about it. I know they are just babies but when are we going to start disciplining them? It is a big no-no to yell at kids in public or when there are a lot of people around them although I am sure there are times when it is hard not to. I know that Frankie didn't intentionally push the little baby. He was just excited to see the new toy and if he will ever do it again, I will be there to remind him that it is wrong.

Auto Insurance Quotes Over The Internet

It is so much easier looking for auto insurance with the help of the internet these days. You can now get auto insurance quotes almost instantly after answering few questions and not having to deal with any agent. We will be looking for another one this summer because we will be adding Papa to our policy because he will be driving soon. He is doing well with studying with his handbook and he is also very observant when we go out and drive. It is really very important that he will be able to drive when he will be staying with Frankie most of the time. It just makes us feel secure especially when we are staying somewhere. Yes, Ryan and I already planned where we are going to go for our 6th year wedding anniversary and Papa is so supportive with the plan. He wants us to go and have fun and leave Frankie with him. It surely is something we are looking forward to.

Meet George

I have been wanting to get Frankie, George when it went 50% off but I thought all of them were sold when I couldn't find them anymore. I know how Frankie liked George because he giggles every time he watched curious George on PBS. Luckily when Ryan and I went shopping in Kohls, we saw some in the toy's department and I immediately grabbed one. It was only $2.50 and I have to say it was the most worth it $2.50 we have ever spent. When we got home we immediately took the tag off and gave it to him. He was so excited because he remembers George. Since then George is with him wherever he goes even during his nap and sleep. Frankie has a lot of stuff toys but for some reasons he just love George. Frankie even pretends to give him milk and shares his pacifier with him complete with the "sucking sound effects".

Playing in the hallway with George.

What I love the most is when I see them sleeping together. I normally don't let him hug him but he wakes up sometimes and look for him and hugs him. It seems like he likes him more then his pacifier now. When he is awake and left George in our room, he would cry and points at the room. He can't pronounce his name yet but when we ask him where is George, he knows exactly who we are referring to.

We left Papa at the Social Security Office today and we went home. In the left picture he was busy watching Barney while holding George on his lap while on the right picture are both of them looking through the window looking for Taytay.

But my most favorite of all is when I see them sleeping together. Mind you, if we give Frankie a goodnight kiss we also need to give George a goodnight kiss because he would push George's face to our faces and only stop when we give him a kissy.

Taking a nap on the couch after picking up Taytay.

Grocery Store

We were all in the break room when we are talking about grocery stores. Our supervisor mentioned that he used to work for a store where they have to memorize all the prices and the item numbers. They don’t have a barcode scanner so they all have to literally memorize everything. He only worked there for 3 days because it was very hard to memorize a lot of prices while at the same time, over look the flow of the store since he worked there as an assistant manager. I can’t blame him for quitting though. Imagine if you have to go through the list of items and its prices every time you forget the price. It is not only putting so much pressure on you but the customers might not like coming back because of the slow service. Thankfully they have everything in barcodes now and the service has never been smooth and efficient.

Bowling

Ryan asked me if I want to go bowling with him this Saturday. I was excited and asked Papa if he wants to come with us but he said he will pass this time because we might not enjoy it and will end up chasing Frankie. He decided to stay home with Frankie instead. I was a little sad because I wanted them to come but Papa was right, he might be all over the place just like our Christmas party. It was so nice of him to think of us though. So I don't know if this will be our early Valentines date. I thought I was off for Valentines Day next week but I am not. My supervisor is going somewhere and I had to lead the team that night. All I know is this coming week, we are going to have a make-over at work and I signed myself up. I honestly don't know how to wear a make-up so it would be nice to be educated the right way this time especially when I will be facing a lot of people in the future. There will be beauty experts and consultation is free. I can buy the make-up if I wanted to and that will be my pre-Valentines present. So I assume that we will just be staying home with Papa and Frankie during Valentines day which I would love to do. I really need to get used to the fact of being able to leave any time we want to. Sometimes I miss Frankie so much while we are out and Ryan kept assuring me that they are fine. I know they are fine and he trust Papa so much with him but sometimes I just misses him.

For eBay Shoppers

I know a lot of people who make good money by selling their fairly/good stuff through eBay. I have to admit that Ryan and I have never sell or buy anything from eBay. Although I have visited the site a few times to look for something which ended up more than I was willing to pay. If there is something that I really would like to get through eBay, it would be a collection of old stamps. Yes, I started my collection when I was in first year high school and I have stamps from different countries such as Australia, Malaysia, China, Philippines, US and more. I am so interested to add more to my collection and good thing I came across WatchCount.com which I find very useful not only to me but also to those eBay fanatics.

Using WatchCount.com is very simple and most of all free. You can use it to find most popular eBay items and start from there. When you know exactly what it is in demand then you also know what to supply. I searched “old stamps” in the keyword box and I got quite a lot back with the exact number of people that are watching them. WatchCount.com is certified by eBay so you have nothing to worry about. You should check them out too.

Social Security Office

Papa and I agreed last night that we are going to wake up early to go to the Social Security Office. Well it was not really early as I thought it would be because Frankie and I got up at 10:00 a.m. Ryan already warned us that the line might take forever and there will be no parking space but we ended up leaving the house at noon. Ryan gave me a call and told me that it might be a wrong idea to still go and he was right. When we got there, we could not find a parking spot anymore which they don't have much to begin with and we couldn't leave the car in the neighboring establishments because we are afraid that it might get towed. I went around once to see if we can get an open spot and we actually did. I was so happy and all three of us went in. Papa got his number and it was A144. We were wondering why they were already calling for the number A184. Well the lady told me that as soon as it reaches A200 it will go back to A001 until we get to A144. We decided to leave because Frankie was getting so anxious and who knows if we will ever make it today. We went to Target afterwards to pick up something and eat lunch there. We will try it again tomorrow and hopefully we will get it this time. I promise to wake up really early and try to get a parking spot.

This could have been a lot easier if Ryan checked the greencard and social security card together but he was afraid that the other one (SSN) might not get to us and doesn't want to go through the hassle of getting one. So we are getting his the traditional way. So tomorrow again hopefully!
