Dance Frankie Dance

I mentioned in my other blog that we got ourselves a dance dance revolution. I don't know what has gotten to Ryan when we were in the mall in Bradley that he thought of getting one. In the store we were in it, they don't have the mat/pad and the game is separate. He got me really excited that after church I wanted to go to Target to check what they have. This is an old game which my students used to play before. Probably 9 to 10 years ago, yep that old. Anyways, we went to Target and we found one. It looks expensive in the tag but when we paid for it it was only o$20.00 plus. I don't know if it was on sale but at any rate I was glad. We are not willing to pay much for just a game.

When we got home, we didn't try it right away. Ryan was so excited to update his blog so we put it off until last Monday. I wanted to make sure that it works because I have read some reviews that there is some buttons that won't work and I wanted to try and return it right away if that was the case. Ryan tried it first and we were all laughing. I kept telling him to wiggle his body and move to the beat rather than waiting for the arrows to come up. Frankie on the other hand was so fascinated watching his Dada. We take turns holding him because he tries to hit the exit button on the mat. There were a lot of dance music too that some where from the 80's and 90's. Ryan was sweating like he was running on the treadmill. I tried it for a couple of times but it didn't work because Frankie wanted it for himself. I let him be and when he is done I try getting on the mat he gets mad and cry. Ryan said we may have to do it in our room if we want to exercise. At any rate, he had so much fun and it was so much fun watching him. He dances while clapping his hands. I tried taking a video of him but when he saw me holding it he stopped. Here are some shots that I took of him.

Please excuse the mess. He does this all the time and we don't get rid of it until the end of the night. Below: trying to pick a song to dance.

Protect Your Future With C'elle

After much convincing from a few of my friends, I finally signed up to this one popular social networking site. I was thankful that I did because I found a lot of people that I used to work with and get to check out their updates and pictures. One of the pictures that caught my attention was from this lady that I worked side by side with before. It was a picture of her mother with the caption, “My mother and now cancer free after having a stem cell transplant”. I was speechless because I knew about stem cell transplant but I didn’t know anyone that I know actually was cured because of it. It got me thinking. If the same thing happens to me or to anyone of my family, will I be able to help myself or them? You can’t blame me if I worry sometimes. After all it is the life of my family and me that we are talking here. Plus it doesn’t help to know that a couple of my Aunts died with breast cancer while another two died of diabetes.

The picture that I saw was indeed a wake up call that I wanted to learn more about it. I was even surprised with my research when I came across C'elle. The monthly cycle that we girls have which we consider dirty has more it. In fact, it has life-saving stem cells that can potentially save your life and the life of those close to you. C'elle can help you collect and preserve the menstrual blood with potentially life saving stems cells for future use. I am now weighing if we can afford it and thankfully they are offering a discount if you enroll today. You can take advantage of the promo code: CN400 and pay only $299.00 from now till April 30th. Start saving your life, today.

Switching Parishes

Last weekend was the first weekend that we started going to St. Laborious. In two years our Frankie will be going to school and we want to be ready for it. Ryan and I were originally going to put him at St. Mary's School but Marilyn one of the guest that Papa and Frankie had during their birthday party said that she thinks they are closing soon. Her grandson that lives with her also goes to that school that is why she knew. It is really sad because Ryan and I were hoping they will remain open. I don't blame them because you can never run a school with only a few students. So our other option is to send him to St. Laborious. It also means switching parishes.

St. Mary's Church is where Ryan and I got married. We stayed with them until we moved to our house. When we settled down, we have St. Irenaeus nearby where Frankie was also baptized. I wish they had a school too but theirs close for quiet sometimes now. So our last option is St. Laborious. It is a little far than the other two churches but not bad. The only thing is St. Irenaeus has a family room where I can take Frankie and he can draw and play with other kids while still listening to the mass while in St. Laborious there was none. That was why it was only Ryan and I who went to church then the next day Sunday, I drove Papa and picked him up from church (St. Irenaeus. I was so pleased when I realized that St. Laborious' parish priest is also a Filipino. Hope to go there every weekend.

Car Parts

The entire family was in a family gathering last Easter and on our home, Ryan decided to take the Lake Shore Drive, a more scenic route because the expressway was backed up. As we were about to leave the city, Ryan noticed something every time he stops, a red light always pops up. Ryan was getting worried because we still have a long to go and thankfully we got home safe. He didn’t understand why it will disappear every time the car is running but it re-appears when the car is stopped. He checked the manual and the light actually signified that the car battery is not charging. It needed a new alternator.

Unfortunately my car is not a Volvo or Saab. If it was, it could have been so easy to get Saab parts and Volvo parts from Swedishparts.net. Getting a new alternator would have been fast. You just need to pick which car manufacturer you have, select the year and find the parts. As easy that. What is even better is they sell it at a discounted price and of course of top quality. So the next time your Saab or Volvo car needs a part replaced then do not hesitate to check out Swedishparts.net.

He Can Use A New Bike

When Papa saw Ryan’s bike last December that was hanging in the wall inside our garage, he was very happy. He had one back in the Philippines that he was using to get around places. He told me that if Ryan wouldn’t mind, he would like to borrow it this summer. Ryan didn’t mind at all but I don’t think he can still use it. You see, Ryan hasn’t used it for over 12 years. He actually had driven it only once and it has been in the garage since. Both of the tires don’t have air and I can’t even tell if it is starting to rust. It has been collecting dust that is why it is so hard to tell. Ryan really doesn’t feel safe for Papa to use it, so our other option is to get him his own beach cruiser. We figure, he can really use one during the summer especially when he wants to take Frankie to the park and we are not home. We can easily buy a secured seat for Frankie anyway to attach to it.

I searched the internet and thankfully I found Xyzbike.com. They currently have a special promo that can get you an additional $5.00 by using the coupon: 5OFFXPP. I checked out the different cruiser bikes they have available and the prices are very affordable. I am sure Papa will be so excited when we get him his own bike. Now he will be able to enjoy summer more. I like this bike on the left for him.

Still Here

As you may have noticed in most of my blogs, I rarely update lately. I even have pictures that needs to be uploaded from our anniversary trip to Papa and Frankie's birthday party. Well, I am still here but have been working so much hours with my on call job and working for Ryan. The team leader that I am working for really liked me and she will try to get me on the team. I already have days to work with them lined up and every time I see her, she kept asking me if I want to work for other locations. I already know what days I work for Kohl's so I am all up to it. I am so tired when I get home most of the time. There are also times when I work during the morning and I come home just to eat and go to the next one. It is ok though because I am usually off the next day. Things has been ok. Frankie is still as silly as ever.

Three days ago I was scheduled to be at work for 8:00 a.m. Papa knocked on the door because he didn't know what time I am supposed to go. I hurriedly got up and took a shower. When I walked into the kitchen I smelled a familiar smell. Papa cooked breakfast with fried rice already ready on the table waiting for me. It reminded me how mama used to cook for us and it was always ready before we go school/work. It is so nice of him to get up early for me. It is so nice to have a family around, that's for sure.

A Great Investment For The Future

I have always wanted to have kids of my own. I used to teach pre-schoolers, elementary students and high schoolers before. It was tiring no doubt about that but very rewarding and fulfilling. It was so much fun too to watch them learn. I know from the beginning that I will become a mother and a good mother that is. I have always thought that if I can show so much compassion to other kids, how much more to my own child? April 2, 2007 is when my dream came true. Ryan and I were blessed with an angel. He is the most beautiful creature in our eyes and we will protect him to the best of our ability.

Before I had him I kept receiving flyers from the mail about banking his umbilical cord. I honestly don’t know its significance. After giving birth to Frankie, it kind of bothered me that I didn’t learn more about it so I searched the internet. I found myself browsing at Cryo-cell.com and right there and then I realized how wrong I was for not banking Frankie’s umbilical cord. The stems cell from the umbilical cord is known to treat over 70 different diseases. We could used it not only to protect Frankie but also us. It might not be as beneficial now but it will be in the future. On our next baby, I will make sure that his/her umbilical cord will be stored for future use. What is even better is if you enroll at Cryo-Cell today and until 4/19/09 you will get a free Baby Bjorn. I am convinced that this is the way to protect our son’s future. Have I convinced you enough? If not, don’t just take my word for it and read the following testimonial.

"My children are the most precious gifts that I will ever have and I want to do everything I can to make sure they are well. While I was pregnant with my first child, I would see articles and ads about cord blood and it bothered me that it was so expensive but what if I one day needed this blood. The reality of having only one chance or it really went in the garbage kept me wondering if I would regret not investing. What if he had cancer or his dad or I were sick, would that blood have been the cure? Through research, I came across Cryo-Cell International, Inc., a company with the most reasonable rates and the assurance of two holding facilities.

When I was pregnant with my second child, we wondered if one bank was enough? Finances were tighter and should we spend the money? Then we realized that his brothers blood might not match for the new baby. The next day, stories were breaking about how Cord blood had saved or changed the lives of children, one cancer, one cerebral palsy. Then we discovered that a friend was diagnosed with non-hodgkins lymphoma. He didn't bank his daughters blood and wished he had. Three years prior, I lost a friend to renal cancer when she was 29. We felt like it was our answer.

We are just beginning to see miracles that this blood can bring. We have two "life insurance policies", that is how we look at it. If anyone in the family gets ill, there is a chance that the blood could save our lives. If we don't use it, then it is there for our son's children."

Sincerely,
mother of Parker and Davis

Punished

Papa and Frankie were in the living room watching Curious George when I thought of making some popcorn. I gave it to them and went back cleaning the kitchen. They were eating it for a while when Papa got up to go to the bathroom. When he came back he called me and I immediately ran to see what Frankie was doing. He scattered all the popcorn on the floor and was playing with it. It wasn't a good idea to leave a child with a bowl of popcorn, that's for sure. Anyhow, there were so many of them that I thought of punishing him. I gave him the broom to start cleaning and so he did.

Of course what can you expect with a 2 year baby. He cleaned it a little bit but not much. So I gave him the stick vac to suck them all out. The popcorn was in the other side of the room but for some odd reasons he was trying to vacuum the side of the entertainment center with nothing in it. We asked him to go back to where the popcorn are and he did. He actually finished cleaning it. Hopefully next time he will think of it before he starts playing with the popcorn which I doubt because he loves using the vac and the broom.

Frankie's First Birthday

When Frankie’s first birthday was approaching, I didn’t know exactly what to do or where to start. Frankie is our first child and we have no experience about giving birthday parties. Most parents look forward to their child’s first birthday. After all it can only happen once. Ryan and I wanted it to be perfect from the invitations to the giveaways to the food we serve. We planned it really well and we were so happy with how good the outcome was.

Around March I was surfing the internet hoping to find a place where I can get Frankie’s birthday invitation, when I remember Vista Print. I reviewed their website before and I liked their selection of birthday invitations so I went there again. I was so thankful that I checked them out because it is where I ordered Frankie’s birthday invitations. Here is what I came up with.

It was so easy to personalize the beautiful design that I found. All I did was add the necessary information to get started. I also chose a template where I can upload a photo of Frankie as you can see above. I always think adding a photo to an invitation creates a personal touch. I was so confident that the invitations will turn out perfect and it did. I was so pleased with how affordable it was too complete with envelops. Plus I wasn’t expecting that I will get the birthday invitations really fast than promised but I did. During the party, a lot of people asked me where I got the invitations and I told them about Vista Print. In fact, I was so satisfied with the invitations that I got back and got ourselves a rubber stamp with our address in it that we have been using now for over a year. Over all I was so satisfied with my experience with Vista Print and I will surely keep coming back. So the next time you need business cards, t-shirt printing, invitations and more for personal or business use, give yourself a favor and visit Vistaprint.com.

Ryan Gets That A Lot...

...and it is driving me nuts. A lot of people just come up to Ryan and tell him that he looks like Chris Farley. Wahhh... I don't like it but Ryan doesn't care. We can be shopping, eating out or something but some people just stop and tells him that he looks like Chris Farley. He just gives them a smile while I tell all of them they he is a lot cuter than Chris. I asked Papa if he agrees and he doesn't. I don't either because Ryan looks completely different. Ryan said it could be his hair style or something. I mean these people that come up to us are very friendly actually but I really don't know where they are getting this from. Well I posted a picture of the two and now tell me if he looks like him. Ryan's picture is very recent that was taken last weekend in Wisconsin and Chris' photo I grabbed from wikipedia.org.

Search Philippine Companies

I miss the Philippines. It has been a while since I went home for a visit but hopefully we all can go home next year for my sister’s graduation. The last time Ryan and I went home for a 2 week visit was in 2004. I was surprised with the things I saw. There were a lot of changes while others stayed the same. I was so overwhelmed to see a lot of subdivisions popping up like mushrooms to the places where I remembered to be an empty lot. Cebu, Philippines is surely developing evidenced by the malls and buildings.

If you are new to the Philippines and went there for a vacation, your problem could be not knowing where everything is. Philippines Business Directory online is there to make it easier for you to find where places to eat or where are the malls situated with their listings of Philippine Companies categorized by province. You can also directly search for what you are looking for together with its location. They currently have 48,585 in their database and counting. If you are a business owner you can also register your business or edit an existing one. This is surely another way to boost your business. So the next time you visit the Philippines, don’t forget to check out the Philippinescompanies.com, your one stop Filipino business locator.

Stinky

I went to the Social Security office today to have the condition of my social security card removed. I never had any problem with it before until recently. One of my employer wants to have it updated even if I have submitted a copy of my citizenship certificate. The lady said that it wasn't a valid form of identification. Mind you, there is my picture there and my signature and for crying out loud, I am already a citizen but she wants a different one. I have told her twice that if it wasn't good enough then I am not interested anymore. She still emailed me that they will wait for the said updated SS card until May 6. So Ryan encouraged me to go ahead and get another one anyway.

I got there around noon. All three of us ate lunch early and I gave Frankie a bath before I went. As usual the parking space was very limited but thankfully I was able to get into a space. I waited for 2 hours which I thought not too long considering the amount of people that were waiting there. I was just anxious because I need to pick up Frankie and Papa to get something at Kohl's. Well, we were all so quiet when all of the sudden a lady came in and sat among us because she needed to get her social security check. I was seated all the way back when I smelled something nasty. I thought it was the people that were next to me but it was coming from the front. I noticed that the people that were seated around her started walking away and started standing on the side. I never thought that the smell can travel that far but it did. I can't even describe the smell. All I felt was I wanted to throw up. A lot of ladies at the back of me were also complaining. I thought in the beginning there is something wrong with her mentally but one lady who sat right next to me said that she is homeless. A lot of people were making fun of her and it is so sad but she was just so stinky. She was so bad that the security guard had to give her the priority so that she could leave right away but he didn't make it too obvious though. He was also spraying Lysol all over the place because a lot of people were covering their noses. I hope she gets bath someone soon or in a shelter. I heard she is not staying to one. She spends her ss check in motels and then when she is done she goes from places to places. How sad.

Six Years and Counting

I remember it like yesterday when Father Ryan and Deacon John first announced us as husband and wife. It was indeed a very overwhelming feeling and I wished my family were also there to witness it with us. My life has changed and since then the "I" has been changed to "We" and from Comeros now to Neis. I never dreamed my life to be this blessed so lucky to be with the man who loved me with all his heart. I can be a pain and Ryan can be a pain sometimes but we promise to be there with each other no matter what. After 6 blissful years of being together, there is nothing else I could ask for. Ryan and our son Frankie completes me. Happy Anniversary Da and thank you for all the love and support.

Left: Dinner at Applebee's
Right: River walk. Don't worry Da I am not going anywhere.

Personal Checks From Vista Print

I hate moving. It is not only such a hassle to literally move everything from your old house to the next house but also informing the post office and the bank that you moved. You also need to get new checks with your new address on it too. Ryan and I have always gotten our checks from the bank but they always charge us an arm and a leg for a booklet. So when we moved to our new house, we took advantage of a flyer that we got from the mail about ordering personal and business checks through them. We thought we were going to have a good deal, so we ordered it from them. After a month of waiting and about to finish the last booklet that we have, Ryan called to check on the status of our order. He was so furious when they told him that they need something from the bank as a proof that we actually moved. It wasn’t a problem at all but we are just mad that they didn’t let us know before ordering the checks or even notified us on what we are missing. Plus they were so rude. We didn’t have any choice but to go back to the bank and order our personal checks from them.

Thankfully I learned that Vista Print is also offering personal and business checks and I will definitely be getting our next checks from them. I have experienced ordering my son’s birthday invitations from them as well as the rubber stamp for our address and we are so pleased with the result and the efficiency of the delivery. So why not get it in the same place, right? Besides, personalizing your own check has never been so easy because Vista Print has a wide selection of designs that you can just pick which is also very easy to customize. All you have to do is start adding the information needed to complete your personal check. Then add you’re initials on the online approval box to continue on with the processing. It is not only affordable but also easy to order online. Plus I know that my personal checks are secured because they will deliver it to the address that is in the personal check to protect any of my sensitive information. So the next time you run out of your personal checks, don't forget to check out Vista Print.

Sneaking

I am only supposed to be checking my email for a project that I have been waiting on. Thankfully I have already a lot of stuff lined up to do till June. Ryan has been telling me to relax and to get off the internet right away. He simply doesn't know that being in the internet it relaxing to me. I tried to update my blogs with so much to share but he kept reminding me that I need to relax. I will be getting off anytime now. What it so ironic is there were so many stuff to write yesterday that now I already missed but its ok. Before I go, I would like to share pictures of Frankie on his birthday acting silly. It is so hard now to get descent pictures of him because he either raises his foot for the camera or makes a funny face.

Great Way To Save

I now understand what one of my co-workers feel every time her children are celebrating their birthdays. She has a twin daughter and 3 other boys all celebrating in the same month. Can you imagine all the preparations that she has to go through for their birthday party? Not only that, she has to buy everyone a gift too. That is why I can’t blame her for dreading the month of March. I kind of feel the same way now. April is our most celebrated month of the year. April 2 is Frankie’s birthday; April 5 is our wedding anniversary and April 12 is my Dad’s birthday. Ryan and I haven’t got them anything yet because we plan to get them each a gift when we get back from vacation and give it to them during their birthday party on the 19th of this month. Thankfully I waited because I was so pleased when I learned that Sears is offering 75-80% off original prices on fall and winter apparel from now till April 18th.

I can’t wait to get back home and to start shopping for Papa and Frankie. I know exactly what to get Frankie and also Papa. Papa really needs a couple of fleece jackets for spring. He really doesn’t have one since this will be his first spring with us and I am so glad that I can get some for him at a very affordable price through Sears. I will surely mention Sears’ great deals to my co-worker, so she can start stacking up for her children’s next birthday. Click Here

Frankie's Birthday

I am such a cheap mama. Frankie, Papa and I went to Jewel Osco yesterday to pick up our dinner and Frankie's birthday ice cream cake. I always like getting ice cream cake so we don't have to get two separate things. I took him to where the ice cream cakes are and I asked him which one he like. He pointed at the bunny cake so I bought it for him. Good thing it was also on sale. I also grabbed him a number 2 candle but I completely forgot about it until I finished paying for everything in the self check out lane. It was on the bottom of the basket. I didn't want to pay for it so I thought of using the number 3 for Frankie's cake which we also used for Ryan's 30th birthday. I will get him another one for his birthday party on the 19th. He didn't know the difference anyways. He was just so thrilled that we let him blow his candle.

Online Sportsbook

My husband took me to a casino in Indiana last Sunday for a lunch date. After having a scrumptious lunch we decided to walk around and to gamble to have a little fun. Unfortunately, we didn’t stay long because I was getting so sick with the smoke. I can’t breathe and I begged my husband to leave and so we did.

I really felt bad because he has been looking forward to it so when we got home, I went to the internet to see if there is something he can do. Then I realized that he can actually gamble in an online casino and play with his favorite slot machine at the privacy of our home, smoke- free. I didn’t want him to just go to just any online casino, so I searched the internet and I came across Bestusaonlinecasinos.org for their top 10 USA online casinos. In fact, if you also enjoy online sports betting, you don’t have to look any further because Bestusaonlinecasinos.org also has the best usa online sportsbook. For now they have 2 internet sportsbook that they recommended to US players that are ranked according to the bonus, Vegas odds, futures and rating. You can even read the review to help you decide on which one of the two to go for. They currently have Bodog and nine.com. Transaction at Bodog is safe and offers an excellent customer service in case you need help. So if online sports betting is what you want to do at home then don’t forget to check the latest ranking of sportsbook from Bestusaonlinecasinos.org.
