Whatever Comes To My Mind

It was my father-in-law’s birthday last week. We went to see him last Sunday because he wanted his children to be over for lunch. He did not know that my mother-in-law organized a surprise party for him for this 60th birthday the following weekend. She invited relatives and some of Dad’s cousins. Noelle decided to have it at her mother’s assisted living in one of their banquet halls. She told Dad that they were going up to grandma’s house to help someone move. I wish I have seen the look on his face when he saw us there. I was hiding on the side of the door with Frankie and Ben when he came in. My dad was also on the other side, so he was not able to take a picture of him when he walked in and saw us all.

It was very nice to have everyone over. We were there for a little bit and decided to get some ice cream at the Filipino Village Creamery afterwards. To my father-in-law, happy birthday and many more birthdays to come.
