On Four Days

I am excited that I am down to three days a week until they find a replacement then I should be down to one or maybe twice a week at work. I have not really decided yet. With the new time I have, I am still with the panic mode where I got to do everything in a every little time. I kept telling myself that things are getting better now, but I still have that concept of things need to be done because I got to work. Last weekend, however, was a pamper weekend. I just slept for two days. Dada and I went to see a movie, went shopping for Frankie, cooked out and basically just relaxed. I have an exam coming up, and I will try to nail it down.

Anyways, I am really glad that things worked out for Frankie. He will be going to school for four days now. He doesn't know it yet, but I kept telling him that he is going to school tomorrow. He is very excited. He really really loves school. He is like a different child when he is in school. The moment the teacher opens the door, Frankie zooms in and greets his classmates. He loves singing and his teacher always make it a point to have him sing in front of this classmate before he leaves. I am surprised with the prayers he has memorized too. I always pray with him before going to bed with the same prayer that he learned from school and now I just let him pray, and I listen to him. It is amazing of how much he learned.

I couldn't thank God enough for this blessing. Let's just say that for Frankie to have an additional two days only cost us $30.00 more on top of our monthly bill. Could you believe that? We will have to pay a little for his lunch once my spring class in Math starts but still it is very nice of them to work something out for us. I am so thankful and glad to know that there are still people willing to help.

The Allure of the Game

Thanks for the post Barney Crosby.

I probably would have gotten married much earlier if it wasn't for golf. That and the way my golfing buddies are always having to do something else got me thinking way back to when I was just a young lad enjoying the game. I started with a stick and a ping-pong ball and my own three-hole course I made in the backyard when I was four years old.

I play at least four times a week. I went to school to get a job that was golf-friendly. I wanted an office job where the boss would always invite a good golfer like me to the course to talk up clients. I just like the game that much. I don't care if I'm playing a pro or a duffer. If I'm playing against a pro, I learn. If I'm playing against a duffer, I teach.

I got so good that even pros couldn't beat me. However, I was not interested in competing professionally. I just wanted to play. I made enough money at my easy job and didn't want any headaches and didn't aspire to be a billionaire. I had to play at half capacity sometimes so that the clients and boss would have a chance at beating me now and again. I didn't care. I'd get up every golf day, set the ADT home security alarm, and be out the door. I could play all day.

One day a woman client beat the snot out of me on the links. She teed off first so I knew from that first stroke of the club that I wouldn't have to take it easy on her. She killed me that game! I had no choice but to marry her.

The Thorn Birds: The Missing Years

While the drama of The Thorn Birds was one of the most amazing mini-series to be broadcast on satellite from CannonSatellite.com, it left us with an unanswered question that plagued our curiosity; what took place in the large gap of time that The Thorn Birds did not cover? While The Thorn Birds did span over 50 years of history in the lives of Father Ralph Debrickasar and the Cleary family, there was a large gap of time from the birth of Meggie Cleary's second child, to seeing both children as adults that we never had the opportunity to see.

The Thorn Birds: The Missing Years, covers an important section of this time, as well as answering many questions about Meggie and her children. The story begins when Meggie's children are between the ages of 10 and 12 years old. Justine, Meggie's daughter, is the oldest. However, while Justine dearly loves her younger brother Dane dearly, she feels the lack of bonding and affection from her mother. This sets the stage for the return of Luke, Meggies opportunistic husband. This explains the gap of time and so much more of the characters of Dane and Justine. As we see how Luke ignores Justine because she is a girl, and Meggie neglects her emotionally, we come to understand better what makes Justine tick. All of these elements bring the story together.

Thanks Winford Tillman for this post.

Surprise... Surprise...

It was my father-in-law's birthday last week. We went to see him last Sunday because he wanted his children to be over for lunch. He did not know that my mother-in-law organized a surprise party for him for this 60th birthday the following weekend. She invited relatives and some of Dad's cousins. Noelle decided to have it at her mother's assisted living in one of their banquet halls. She told Dad that they were going up to grandma's house to help someone move. I wish I have seen the look on his face when he saw us there. I was hiding on the side of the door with Frankie and Ben when he came in. My dad was also on the other side, so he was not able to take a picture of him when he walked in and saw us all.

It was very nice to have everyone over. We were there for a little bit and decided to get some ice cream at the Filipino Village Creamery afterwards. To my father-in-law, happy birthday and many more birthdays to come.

Radar Detector

Do you travel fast especially when you are driving out in the country? I do sometimes especially when I know there are no houses around and when driving on cornfields. Unfortunately, regardless where our location is, we could be out in the country or in the city the cops still go after us the same. This is where a radar detector will be very handy to have. It could be easily mounted in the car, and it will help you know if your speed is being monitored. I am sure you do not want to pay those speeding tickets especially when there is nobody around and you may have valid reasons for speeding. Do not forget to check out best radar detectors for your next radar detector.

For Acne

I had a terrible break-out last year. I don’t know what I ate different, but it was bothering me and was getting very uncomfortable. It was in the weirdest spot too. It started on the side of my face where it is always touched by my hair going down to my chin. Thankfully, when I went to get my haircut, the lady suggested to me to use oil that I could rub on my face. I was very skeptical in the beginning because my face is already oily as it is, and I am afraid that it will get worst. To my surprise it didn’t and actually cleared my face for a few months. I did further research to check if this could be good for my sister and I found out that tea tree oil uses different natural ingredients to help fight acne. When I say natural, it is safe for you. Hopefully, this works for her too.

Book Review

I just finished with my Math test and I honestly do not know how I did. It was hard. There were some problems that I could not figure out and there were some that I figured out after thinking about it so hard. At least, we were given the entire period to do the test. Anyways, last night was our first meeting with my other education major. Our teacher seems to be ok, and we are already doing a lot of things and research. I am just glad that I met someone in one of my classes before and now we are going to be doing this together. I have the option to write an essay or do a book review. I think I will go for the book review this time. I need to read a chapter and post what I thought about it. I am so sick of writing essays that is why I want to do the book review. I already ordered the book and hopefully, I will be able to keep up with it. We'll see! If I can't do it then I will have to go with the essay with 5 different sources.

Looking Great

One of my co-workers just had her baby early this year. I thought it was her first baby because she looked great after just a few months, and she shed the pounds so quickly. I was surprised when she told me that the last baby she had was her 7th child. She looked so great that I wouldn’t even know that she has a lot of kids. When I asked her what is her secret, her answer is she tries to eat right, exercise and supplement it with one of those safe weight loss pills. She added that with her age it is very hard to lose the weight without the help of a diet pill. She continued that there are a lot of safe weight loss pills out there, and it is just a matter of trying to find for it.

Wish I Could Help

My younger sister emailed me and asked if I could help her with her doctor bills. It is that time of the month again that she has to go back and see her dermatologist. It has really been bothering all of us because it is getting worst and worst and it is not cheap. It should be getting better but it has gotten bad, and she insists in seeing the doctor again for the monthly check and her medications.

My dad said what the point is of spending so much for nothing. I understand how it has deterred her confidence, but we don’t know what else there is to do with her. I will definitely tell her to click here and check out the different natural acne treatment that might just help her. She has been battling for her acne since she was in high school and after so many years, she still is suffering from it. Poor sister!

Educational Stuff

I searched online last night because I was doing some writing and I wanted Frankie by me also doing something. Thankfully, I came across a website for pre-schoolers that has a lot of worksheets for the young ones categorized from shape recognition, scissor use to develop their motor skills, and many other interesting things that will help him. I printed a whole bunch of them, and he had a good time cutting them and coloring them. I even let him make a collage, and he also enjoyed it so much. He just sat there and did all the paper work that I gave him. Now, it is only 9:30 a.m. and he is already bugging me to do "assignment" which means the letter and the shapes.

My Son

There are a lot of kids that shop in the shoe department, and I can’t believe how huge these kids are. I have always wondered where their parents are. Are they letting their kids eat whatever they want while they watch? I know there are some parents who don’t have any time to make something healthy for their kids. With how the economy is, it is unavoidable that both parents are working to put food on the table.

That is the reason why Ryan and I are trying to do everything that we could do right now while Frankie is still little because we want to be able to he home with him when he is a little older. I would love to have a family dinner, and I prepare the food. What I desire is for Frankie to grow old healthy and makes healthy choices in life, so he doesn’t have to rely on other people and worry about human frowth hormone pills because he can take care of himself. I would like to be there for my son all the time, and to let him know that no matter what, we will always be there for him.

Not that Easy

I worked until seven tonight, and I was starving. When I got home, the house was so quiet and dark. I thought everyone left. I opened the garage to see if Ryan went somewhere, but I saw his car inside the garage. I went looking from room to room and I was surprised to see Ryan and Frankie still taking their naps at almost 8:00 p.m. I woke them up and told Ryan that Frankie might be up late bothering me. I still have to work tomorrow.

I was so tired to make something tonight, so we ended up ordering Chinese food. I love ordering Chinese food, and when I do not have the time to make anything, we always order. If only I could cook like them, I think I will be feeding my family all the time instead of relying on ordering food. That probably explains why I am not losing any weight. If there is only diet pills that work, it would be really great. Then we don’t need to worry about watching what we eat. I wish it was that easy.

Understanding Frankie

When I need things done, I used to sneak in Papa's room while Frankie is still sleeping, so he thought that I went to work or school and would not bother me. He likes going through the table and what Ryan put in the drawer and rearranging them that freaks Ryan out. I also try to turn off the light, so he would think nobody is in Papa's room.

Lately, Frankie has matured a lot and I am liking it so much. Now, if I am writing or doing my assignments, I leave the door open and he comes in to say hi and leaves me alone. He usually stay with my Dad outside and when he tells Frankie not to bother me because I am doing assignment, he nicely comply. I can hear him tell Papa that "mama is doing assignment for school." Occasionally, he comes in to check on me or gives me a hug or let me kiss George but that is about it. I remember when I couldn't even do anything because all I kept doing it calling out his name to leave things alone. My baby is surely growing up.

Proud

Are you one of those individuals who enjoy collecting plaques, trophies, and medals of your achievements and your kid’s achievements? I am one of those who likes putting them up to show off to other people what I have achieved. In fact, when Ryan and I first got married, I decorated all his plaques and medals from school. He graduated with honors, and I am so proud of him. He also got plaques as student of the year among other things. Unfortunately, we have to take it down because we needed to repaint the wall, but I will surely be putting it up again. I can’t wait when it is Frankie’s time. I have already plastered his work in this room every time he goes home from school how much more if it is a medal, plaque,or a trophy. It will be all over the house. I am sure of that.

Change

“There is nothing out there for me,” was what I usually hear from a relative when he was battling with drugs. He not only abused himself but also hurt the family that loved him dearly. I don’t know what had gotten into him. He came from a very responsible and happy family. It must be his friends who were a bad influence to him. Bringing himself back on track after having abuse drugs takes a lot of time and dedication. That is why selecting the right people will be wise. It takes a non 12 step program to an approach to recovery. It is not easy, but it is a good start to acknowledge that one needs help.

Early Morning Walk

Mondays and Wednesdays have always been my challenge. I have a math class at 10:00 a.m. and parking has always been a nightmare. Ryan said that it will get better when some of these students will start dropping their classes. Well, it has been almost a month from the last time school started and we have not seen any progress yet. I have the school sticker, so I could park at the back of school at the closest entrance. Unfortunately, with the amount of students that this school have and the limited parking I get kicked to the non-stickered spot. That too was even taken, so I decided to park across the street and walk across the busy street and go up the school. Instead of getting mad about it, it gives me the time to come in early, so I could start my walk. I don't even find a parking spot in any closer places anymore because I don't want to waste my time. I usually get to school at quarter to ten and start walking. I usually have enough time to sit and relax for a little bit until our teacher comes in. As much as I hated in the beginning, I am learning to enjoy my early morning walk especially when the sun is out. We'll see how it is going to be when fall/winter comes.

Plus Size Lingerie

I work in a retail store, and I get asked all the time if we have a plus size lingerie section. Unfortunately, we do not have a specific section for plus size lingerie. They are mixed in with the regular sizes that made it even harder to find for those who wear a plus size. I wish we have that specific section just like the clothes to make it so much easier for plus size women to find what they are looking for. I understand how annoying it could be to go to one place and make the trip and not find what you are looking for.

Halloween Again

It is so much easier to find Halloween costumes for kids. Even when Frankie was only a few months old, I never had an issue finding him a costume. I went to a store nearby and there was a lot of costumes to choose from. However, it is not that much for adults. In fact, there are some adult halloween costumes, but they are not really that cute. That is why at the end of the season, most of them go clearance because nobody bought them. Adult costumes should be something cool yet daring. Besides, adults do not go from house to house to do trick or treat. They are dress up for a Halloween party. I just can't believe next month is Halloween again.

Family Fun Day

A few weeks ago, Ryan and I took Frankie to his work's family fun day. We were going to stay there for an hour or so depending on if Frankie likes it or not. We were then going to drop him off, and Ryan and I will proceed to the library. Frankie wants to go in the different balloon or whatever you call them, but he was still too small. He actually went to one for his age but he couldn't figure out how to climb up and slide on the other side. Other kids were climbing up and sliding on the other side but he was so contended and happy jumping up and down. If only he was able to figure out how it works.

We were only there for about an hour or maybe less. I am just glad that Frankie did not come home empty handed. He won a little cow stuffed toy from guessing where it the mark of the duck. He also tried other games but he was not able to get anything but a spider ring. Better luck next time, I suppose.

He was excited about his cow.

Options

Credit cards are very convenient to have especially when you don't like carrying cash around. If that is the case, you also need to be careful to pay them back right way. Credit cards are so easy to use, but definitely so hard to get rid of especially when you have accumulated enough charges in there. A close friend of mine got really into spending and using her credit card whom she shared with her husband when she first got here from the Philippines. We do have credit cards in the Philippines, but you have to prove that you have an established income and is supposed to be making a big amount of money per month to be able to get one. The bank are doing it that to make sure that they will get their money back and also a sort of protection.

They are a lot of people in the United States that lost their house and belongings because they owe so much from their credit cards and ended up filing for bankruptcy. It is true that they probably used poor judgment, but it should not end up with losing one's house or belongings. There are ways to reduce and help eliminate debt once and for all. Credit card consolidation is another option. It is a way of consolidating all your credit card debts in one easy payment instead of trying to pay different credit cards. With proper negotiation to the creditors and with the use of different consolidation programs at franklindebtrelief.com, you can lower your monthly payment in one single payment. Another option would also be credit card debt relief. If you think there is no way out, franklindebtrelief.com offers solution by settling for your debt on your behalf to creditors. The same goes with unsecured debt relief on debts that you may have accumulated from medical bills and other things. Creditors could also be negotiated.

Bottom line is, it is not end of the world if you have credit card debts. It is a matter of finding reliable people to help settle with your debt before it is too late.

The Best Educational Channel on Television

A post from Jewel Rodgers.

There are tons of educational channels on television today and although I only watch a few of them, I definitely have a favorite. This channel is the History channel. I wasn't too crazy about history classes in high school, but this television channel talks about events that have happened in history in a much more interesting way. They give documentaries on things that people want to hear about. And since the history channel is always on, whenever I want to watch this channel on my www.TVByDirect.com satellite TV, I can do so. I typically watch it after I get out of class or when I get home from work. I love when they give previews of some interesting documentaries and I can put them in my schedule book to watch. Plus, they have a list of everything that will be on each day on the History Channel website. I usually check that a couple times a week to see if there is anything I want to watch. There is always something that captivates my interest. I could literally watch this channel for hours. One of my favorite documentaries that I have watched was about the assassination of JFK. That has always been something I wondered about and I never got around to looking it up. So when it came on the History Channel, I definitely learned a lot.

First Week of School for Frankie

Our preschooler

The first week of school went great. I used to worry about waking him up early in the morning for school, but he has been really good so far. I did not have any issue waking him up at all. He just go straight to the bathroom for his shower. I don't know how it is going to be for the winter. He is so used to of taking his shower in the morning because when he takes a shower at night, it keeps him up. He can't seem to sleep right away.

Ryan and I both took our days off just to take Frankie to school. Papa drove in a separate car because that was the first time that we have taken him to the school. I kept telling him that I will show him where it was, but it always slips my mind. At least, when he came with us with a separate car, he was able to practice back and forth from the house to school. When I told Frankie that we are going to school, he did not seem to really care. We sat in to one class last March, but I am sure it has been a while for him. I told him that he was going to school, but all he kept telling me was, he was going to ChuckECheese. He brighten up a little bit when we get to the classroom and he saw all of his classmates waiting for him. He stated playing right away forgetting that we were even there. The teacher had to remind him to give mama, dada, and grandpa a kiss goodbye before he could play.

I am very happy that Frankie is finally going to pre-school. I know it is another expense, but it is an expense that is so worth it. I am just glad that I don't have to worry as much with my sister in regards to her schooling. She is reviewing right now and all I need is to send her a little allowance every month. Anyways, when Ryan and I picked him, he told us what he did. He said he painted, sung a song, and played with his classmates. Although this is only their first week, they have already started doing some academic stuff. I can't wait for the coming weeks to come and see what Frankie has for me. This is his remembrance of his first day of school. For his second day of school, he made a truck. I have yet to take a picture of it.

Going to the Movies With Peace of Mind

Once my Adt security system near St. Paul is set I am able to go on vacation or more often do what my wife and I love to do; go to old movies. We love the old actors such as Errol Flynn, Edward G. Robinson and Steve McQueen . There are movie houses which specialize in these types of classics and we make it a weekly event to catch one of the films.

The acting in the older films cannot be compared to the acting nowadays. The black and white films also give the flavor of the time and the camera work is superior. The acting was better back then than now in our opinion. We look forward to our next film every week. Some classics like The Sand Pebbles with Steve McQueen we have seen more than once.

Going to the Movies is a relaxing couple of hours. It takes one's mind off the many problems in the world. It is a pleasure to hear no news for a couple of hours. The world will still be spinning when we come out of the movie and if not, there is nothing we could have done to prevent the world's destruction.

Tickets

I used to work in a retail store, and team leaders get to go out every once in a while. In 2007, we all went to see the Chicago White Sox game at the U.S. Cellular Field. It wasn’t that bad because we already had the tickets because our supervisor got them for us in advance. We just went in line and we were in. Well, we were not as lucky the second time around. Some of us team leaders decided to go out and watch the Chicago Cubs play in Wrigley Field. We car pooled and had everything planned until we got to Chicago. It was very frustrating because we were in line trying to get our tickets for a long time. The easier alternative would have been buying our tickets at www.ticketamerica.com.

You see at ticketamerica.com, you can plan ahead of time minus the hassle of trying to get in line to get your tickets. With the tickets already in hand, you can just by pass the line and enjoy your time with your family and friends. What is even better is you can select for the best seat since you got in first while others are still trying to buy their tickets. Ticketamerica.com has the ticket when you need it most.

It doesn’t matter what baseball game, concert, or show you want to watch. You could be going to the Yankee Stadium, Rose Garden Arena, or watch the WWE - World Wrestling Entertainment at the Verizon Center; it doesn’t matter because they have the tickets for you. So, the next time you go out with your family and friends, leave the tickets to Ticketamercia.com.

Deactivated Facebook

If you are my friend in facebook and did not see me anymore in your friend's list, do not freak out. I do not hate you, and I did not delete you either. I opted to deactivate my account because I have better things to do. Every once in a while, I peek to copy some pictures but that is about it. I don't have any time to go through my friends anymore. I am sure most of them are doing great. I talk to my family via Y.M now instead of facebook before.

I am on the second week of school, and it is very challenging. I just can't goof around anymore, and I think I am doing well. I am sure facebook will be there when I come back.

Time to Save

We recently purchased a tube TV that is so heavy from a local charity store for $9.00. It was so funny how Ryan and I had to get in the house. Yes, it was that heavy but we couldn’t pass the deal. What I have initially in mind was to save my money and get Ryan a Samsung HDTV and put it in the living room. Knowing Ryan, I am sure he will like the idea but he doesn’t want me spending my money for him. I figure, he helped us so much for my sister and that is the least I could do. As I was getting close to my goal, we found that TV and thought, hey why not? But, I have told Ryan that once we move to our new house whenever that would be, I will definitely get him an HDTV for the living room, so that gives me a lot of time to save.

Who Knows?

It is so easy to forget about the responsibilities we have to ourselves and to the people we love. Have you ever stop and ask yourself if your family will be ok if something happens to you? I recently purchased a term life insurance with a purpose of protecting Ryan and Frankie if something happens to me. The future is so uncertain that we can’t do anything about it but be proactive. Now, Ryan and I have two life insurances. One we got through our different jobs and the other was what we got for ourselves. Because, we’ll never know!

Sets

Can you believe we are going to be setting the boots next week, and less than a week after that is the St. Nick set which is for Christmas? Time by fly fast that is for sure. I remember it like yesterday that we are all excited to go home to the Philippines last March and now it is already September. I guess I like it this way rather than waiting for the time to finally get here. School, work and Frankie is making me so busy and also keep me sane.

I have a boot set next week, and I still do not know what to bring. I will probably bring the usual depending on the time we have. I am off on Monday for Labor Day, and I gave my hours away for Tuesday because it is Frankie's first day and on Wednesday I am working overnight. I hope to accomplish a lot of things next week. I have been goofing off and not studying the way I should be studying. I just need to focus and concentrate. I guess there is a lot that I get confuse what to do first, but I will be alright.

Someday

I have never been to Disney, and I have only seen pictures of it. Visiting Disney is one of my childhood dreams after growing up watching those Disney classics. Of course, who doesn’t want to meet the princesses and their princes? I would! Frankie is learning different Disney characters too. Who knows in the new future we could take one of those Disney vacations and see the beautiful Disney by ourselves. Well, it may have to wait a little longer because we have our priorities, and it is in the bottom of the list. I am sure we will go there someday.

Gone

Our gazebo and hot tub in the backyard are completely gone. It was starting to become a sore in the backyard since we never used it. Thankfully, my father in law was willing to take it. Ryan and I have decided to just get rid of it to gain our backyard space back. My father-in-law just needs to get a new hot tub cover because what we had in the hot tub is a little outdated. It was colored brown and little worn out through the years of usage. It was actually the previous owner of the house who got the hot tub and the gazebo. If we could have live out in the country, it wouldn’t be a problem, but here the houses are too close to each other that we could not enjoy privacy. I am just thankful that it is out of our hands now.

My Tutor is Awesome

I have always been an in-charge person when it comes to my school. I hate depending on other people because I have experiences before where they do not follow through and I end up trying to do it by myself at the last minute. However, this semester is a different story. I have a tutor and he is the most patient person. You see, I have to take Math this semester and the next semester to graduate. I don't want to put it off because the more I put it off the longer I graduate. That is why, I have four classes this semester. I am sure my GPA will surely go down if I get a B, but I just want to get done with it. Besides, the minumum grade that allows me to transfer into a university is a B.

Math has always been my issue even in high school and college. I have always been a B student when it comes to Math. I am only in my second week of class, and I am already having a problem with it. It's been years and years from the last Math class I took. Although it may look so simple to some, I am absolutely having a problem with it. We are doing problem solving right now, and I am not understanding them at all. While he is discussing, it just so foggy with me. I don't get it, and I hated it so much that I don't get it. They put in some tricky questions and I am lost. We had our first quiz last Wednesday and I don't think I did really well. The night before, Ryan and I spent 4 hours in the university library just to talk about my Spanish and Math. He is really good at those two, and I am not. He is so excited that I am taking Spanish, so we could converse in Spanish. I am no where close to that and I have a bunch of assignments to do. He did a really good job in explaining the problem to me. I am so happy that he is very patient too with me. I wish I am good with Math. *sigh*

Here to Stay

In my education major class, our professor asked us why we want to teach when there are a lot of teachers being laid off recently. My question to myself was, is there something out there for me? I already have a bachelor’s degree and it would be a waste of time, money, and effort if I have to start all over again. Plus, I just hate the sight of blood. It makes me sick that is why the medical field will never be for me.

I wish it was the other way around though because there are a lot of health care jobs available. Like my friend Jenny, she is in school and still managed to get a part time job caring for the elderly. She is currently working for her nursing degree, and at the same time, she does home health to those who are unable to take care of themselves. There sure are a lot of health care jobs available and it is here to stay.

Outdoor facelift

There was so much nice weather this season - even if it was a little too hot for my taste - that I took advantage of it and did a lot of home improvement that I had been putting off for a while. I wrangled my 13-year-old son into helping me out too. One of the main things that I wanted to get done to our house's exterior was repainting the shutters.

I realize now and should have realized then that taking the shutters off the house before painting them would have been the best thing to do, but I decided it would be easy enough. Well, my son ended up dripping black paint all over our white siding. Instead of get mad at him I decided that we would just get some new siding while we were at it. We might as well do all these home updates at once while we were no a roll anyway. So I got sears vinyl siding indianapolis to come out and do the work.

Our siding was little a little worn anyway and I think that the difference in the shutters wouldn't have been obvious if we hadn't gotten the siding replaced.

Thanks for this post Burt Wood
