Sibling’s Day Out
Whenever I go home, I always make sure to spend a day or two with my siblings alone. Last year, we went to SM, ate our lunch there, and watched Clash of the Titans. My two elder brothers and myself saw the original Clash of the Titans in our English Lit class in high school, so I was so excited to watch it with them.
This year, we did something similar. We went eat at our favorite restaurant and talked about a lot of things while waiting for Resty from the city. She worked half day, so we already ordered the food she liked and was ready when she got there. We talked about mama’s siblings at war because of pride and money. We also talked about my other aunt’s siblings, and how one of her siblings hurt her. Nonong Tonette, my second brother said, “let’s not be like them.” He added that he does not want us to fight. I saw the genuineness in his face when he said that. I smiled and said we grew up really close to each other and no “money” or “wealth” will ever ruin that.
My siblings are always there for me through my ups and downs. They taught me how to share, and the real meaning of love. Though we are far and now walk in different paths, we will always cherish the time we have together. I like the time I spent with my eldest brother every Friday morning here and catch up with him. I am so happy that he made it in UP for his master’s degree. I talked to Resty and Nonong Tonette every other day just checking how they are, and I talked to Ging-ging every once in a while when she is free from her review. All I know is wherever life would take us in the future, rich or poor, nothing is ever going to change. I love my siblings so much!
We ended up our day out with a movie “Super 8″ which was not I expected it to be. We had dessert at an ice cream place, and where the picture above was taken. I can’t wait to spend more time with them in the future.
