Celebrating
It is interesting how things change when you get older. Even what you wished for and what you want for your birthday changes too. When I was younger, I got excited when I see a bag of chips for my birthday. It felt like it was the most wonderful gift I ever got for my birthday. When I got to high school, all I ever wanted and asked for every birthday is to get to college. When I got to college, I asked to be successful. When I graduated college, I asked that I will find the man of my dreams, and after all of those birthday wishes and God granting them, all I ever ask now is good health for my family and friends.
On a different note, I was so happy when my family in the Philippines got together for my birthday. I know how busy they all are with each of their lives, but they still wanted to get together to celebrate my birthday. It was so nice to see everyone having dinner and walked around the mall with my nephews. At least, even if I didn’t do anything for my birthday here, they were able to enjoy it.
