Funeral
Mama and I were saddened to learn about the death of my uncle and mama’s brother-in-law. Although we knew that he has been sick since last year, we were not prepared for his death. I remember how happy he was to see us last year. He has always been my favorite uncle and it is sad that he has left us all behind including nine children. He was also a good provider that is why his loss were felt by many.
Around May last year, he was complaining about head pains. He was losing his vision too that they all thought he had diabetes. He went through different tests while we were there in May/June until he was diagnosed with brain cancer. He had the surgery, and we all thought he was going to be ok because he seemed to be responding well with everything. He even went back to work. Unfortunately, he was complaining about headaches. Before we knew it, he left us for good.
Sometimes I wonder why those who are good are taken from us so soon. He was an amazing man to all the people around him. My aunt still could not believe that this happened. My uncle was only 48 years old. I guess his time is up and all we could do now is move on and know that there is an angel watching us from heaven.
