Getting Better
Ryan, mama, and myself have been sick for almost a week now. Ryan kept bugging me to take mama to the doctor since she has been coughing bad. She has been taking an over the counter medicine for her cough, but Ryan insisted that I should take her to the doctor. I was just waiting for the right time to go since if we go we have to drag Branden and Frankie. I wanted to go while Frankie was in school, but since Dr. B. is seeing so many people now, most of the appointments available was in the afternoon.
Finally, I called early morning yesterday and got it on the same day for the afternoon. Frankie and Branden were so behaved in the doctor’s office. Dr. B saw us together since I could leave mama in the waiting area to switch. We both had antibiotics and the same cough syrup. I am not taking the cough syrup because I do not want to deal with being drowsy especially when I have to drive Frankie to school. Mama ended up having an early stage of pneumonia while I have bronchitis. I have always wondered why once mama starts coughing, she wheezes and she usually have a whooping cough that usually lingers. Thankfully this time she is feeling better. She has an inhaler too. Most of all, I was so happy that the doctor did not change mama anything for this visit. I was surprised because I have always been contended with the $25.00 that he charges us but this time it was free. God bless his heart.
Ryan was very pleased when he realized that mama has been taken cared of and already got her medicines. He was getting so worried about her. He also asked if I have picked up her maintenance (her monthly medicines) and told him it is not time yet for those. I am so glad that he loves mama like his very own. I had tears in my eyes when he came up to mama this weekend and gave her a little something and thanked her for helping up us. He told her how thankful we are for having her and will always be grateful. I am so overwhelmed that my husband thinks that way with my mama. She is a great person!
